Truro Park and Ride
The Truro park and ride contract was funded by Cornwall Council with the intention of providing accessible, secure & economical parking for people working & shopping in the City of Truro. The main Contractor for the site was Cormac, with ROK construction being responsible for the construction of the terminal building. Waldon Security worked with both ROK & Cormac on this project and advised the client directly in respect of gate designs & automation for the site. Along with this, Waldon Security also installed an L1 fire detection and alarm system, alongside a secure intruder system to cover whole site, and access control to enable tighter security within the buildings.

Fire Alarm System
Waldon Security installed an analogue addressable fire alarm system within the terminal building to an L1 standard with particular attention to DDA requirements as this is a public building. The system is linked to shut down various items of plant should the alarm trigger & is remotely monitored via our central station who ultimately will call the Brigade to a fire.
Security Works
An integrated intruder & access system was installed within the terminal building. This system controls the buildings intruder alarms & access control doors and is controlled remotely from New County Hall.
Gate Controls
The gates for the site were designed by students & teachers at the Falmouth School of Art & are very large due to the size of the roads with bus lanes into the site. These main gates & smaller pedestrian gates are all controlled by hydraulic ram systems installed by Waldon Security. This system is controlled by timers controlling the gates to open & close the site automatically along with various onsite manual controls.
