Waldons Sponsor Charlestown Under 10’s Football Team

Here at Waldon Security we are delighted to announce that we have sponsored the Charlestown Youth Under 10’s football team.

As Sport England point out, if children have experiences that feel fun, positive and give them a sense of confidence when they are young, they’re more likely to want to be active in the future. Research shows that children who are more active are happier, more resilient and more trusting of others, but over half of kids aged 5-16 are not active enough to enjoy these benefits.

We’re also very aware that kids have been through a lot in recent years (apparently, according to the Active Lives Children and Young People Survey 20/21, 5.8% fewer played team sports compared to pre-pandemic) and many studies also show the huge benefits that taking part in sport has for children’s mental health and general wellbeing.

So it is absolutely great to see these children back out there playing and enjoying themselves!

We feel really privileged and happy that we can have this opportunity to support them and look forward to seeing them in action.
